Payments
You must cancel or reschedule 12 hours prior to class attendance otherwise your credit/payment will be forfeited - unless an appropriate medical certificate is provided. We all love our Pilates/Physiotherapy so please ensure enough time for another person to take your place!
WHY? As a small business with a big emphasis on quality care, we need to cover our costs to keep offering you incredible service. We aim to help as many people feel better as possible and a late cancellation or missed appointment is a missed opportunity for us to help someone else!
If you need to reschedule for the same day (within the 12hour window) - please call the office and see if we can accommodate.
Physiotherapy and clinical pilates can be covered under most, however not all, private health insurance! If you are wanting to claim - please let us know for which service, and we can provide you with the item code number.
Then review your policy or call your provider to confirm coverage prior to booking your appointment or membership!
Yes, they are - we have a specific Mums Wellness class at 10.30 on a Wednesday specifically for pregnancy and mums and bubs!
However, if that time doesn't suit you, you are welcome to book any class time!
We always advise you to book a Physiotherapy appointment with our Women's Health Physio for the best guidance!
Body Form clinical pilates classes are perfect for everyone as you can:
- Enjoy a tailored program that focuses on your specific fitness needs
- Rehabilitate any injuries with individual physio supervision
- Exercise in a small, supportive group environment
- Heal and strengthen your body after pregnancy or birth
Pilates challenges the way you function and move your body!
It helps reorganise the neuromuscular signals in your body to create more efficient movement and contractions of your muscles. This gives you increased muscle tone, reduced risk of injury, and reduced energy expenditure when performing your normal daily & sporting activities.
Leaving you feeling fresh and energetic with increased confidence in your bodies abilities!
Physiotherapists have an in-depth understanding of anatomy & pathology. We are registered and undertake compulsory continuing education every year - leaving us with the most up-to-date information to look after you!
With nearly 6 years of training to get to this point - we understand strength/fitness, injuries, rehabilitation, pregnancy and birth and how bodies adapt to all stages of life!
This means you get what you NEED and the best value for money!
We recommend that everyone completes a Functional Assessment appointment - this allows us to gain a greater understanding of your physical condition and your specific fitness goals.
Then we can design your individualised program, helping you get the most out of your sessions.
It is a requirement if your want to claim your classes on healthfund!
We offer Mat, Reformer, Barre and Studio Equipment Teacher Training, and you can start with absolutely no previous Pilates teaching experience. If you’re looking to become a comprehensively qualified Pilates instructor, our Mat + Reformer pathway is our most popular option and gives you the versatility to teach across both modalities. Our training is designed to take you far beyond simply memorising an exercise repertoire. Body Form Education is Physiotherapist-led, so throughout your education you’ll learn not only WHAT to teach, but WHY you’re teaching it, WHO it is appropriate for and HOW to adapt it to the individual in front of you.Your education includes areas such as:• Complete exercise repertoire, setup and execution• Functional anatomy and biomechanics• Programming, sequencing and class planning• Cueing and teaching methodology• Exercise regressions, progressions and layering• Injury understanding and exercise modification• Pre and postnatal Pilates• Special populations and client considerations• Strength training principles and progressive overload• Client screening and management• Clinical reasoning and understanding movement beyond simply following a repertoireYou do NOT need to be a Physiotherapist, have an anatomy background or already be a Pilates instructor to enrol. The course is comprehensive from the foundations upwards and is designed for everyone from complete beginners entering the industry for the first time through to Physiotherapists and experienced instructors wanting to deepen their education.Already qualified? We also work with experienced instructors wanting to expand their education, add another modality or take a more anatomy, biomechanics and clinical reasoning-led approach to their teaching. If you already hold a comprehensive qualification in the modality you’re looking to study, you may also be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning. If you’re trying to decide between our different qualifications:MAT + REFORMERThis is generally the pathway we recommend for someone wanting a comprehensive and versatile foundation for working within the Pilates industry. You’ll be qualified across both Mat and Reformer and develop the knowledge to work across group fitness, studio and more individualised environments.REFORMER ONLYThis can be a great option if you specifically want to teach Reformer and aren’t currently looking to teach Mat. Just keep in mind that many studios value instructors who can teach across both modalities, so if you’re entering the industry for the first time, it is worth considering the Double Certification.MAT ONLYMat is an incredibly valuable foundation and can be completed independently if your goal is specifically Mat teaching, group fitness, online teaching or adding Mat to an existing qualification.STUDIO EQUIPMENT/CLINICAL PILATESOur Studio Equipment training expands your education across the Trapeze Table/Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Spine Corrector and Ladder Barrel. This is particularly relevant for instructors and Physiotherapists wanting to work within more individualised, clinical, rehabilitation or comprehensive Pilates environments.BARREOur Barre pathway is available for those wanting to expand into Barre-based group fitness teaching. Not sure which pathway fits you?Send us:• What you’re currently qualified in, if anything• Your city/country• Whether you’re looking to teach professionally, upskill an existing qualification or incorporate Pilates into another profession• The type of clients or environment you ultimately want to work withinAnd our team can point you toward the pathway that makes the most sense for you 😊You can download our FREE Course Information Guides Here:https://bodyformeducation.mykajabi.com/education-info-guideYou can view our full course curriculum here:https://www.bodyform.com.au/globalpilatesteachertraining/pilates-teacher-training-curriculum

Already a qualified Pilates instructor and want to keep building your knowledge? You’re in the right place 😊Body Form Education offers a range of Physiotherapist-led Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certifications specifically designed for qualified Pilates instructors. Our CPD education is very different from simply giving you another list of exercises to memorise. The focus is on helping you understand WHY, so you can make better decisions when you’re actually standing in front of a class.Depending on the certification, we dive deeper into anatomy, biomechanics, injuries, clinical reasoning, pregnancy and postnatal considerations, strength programming, exercise selection, cueing and how to adapt what you teach to the individual in front of you.Our online CPD certifications are self-paced and available internationally, so you can complete them from anywhere in the world. You can explore ALL of our CPD certifications here:https://www.bodyform.com.au/globalpilatesteachertraining/ondemandcpdcoursesOr choose the area you’d most like to develop below 👇ADVANCED INJURY MODIFICATION CERTIFICATIONOur flagship injury education for instructors who want to feel far more confident when someone walks into class and says, “By the way, I have an injury...”This Physiotherapist-led certification covers 24 of the common injuries, pathologies and presentations you’re likely to encounter as a Pilates instructor.Rather than simply giving you a list of exercises to avoid, we teach you:• What is actually happening anatomically and physiologically• What movements may aggravate the presentation and WHY• What you can still safely work with• How to regress or modify exercises• How to maintain the intended movement pattern where possible• How to modify without completely stopping the flow of a group class• Red flags and when something needs to be referred• How to work confidently within your scope as a Pilates instructorThe goal is not to turn Pilates instructors into Physiotherapists. It is to give instructors enough understanding that they can make informed decisions rather than panic, guess or unnecessarily avoid movement when an injured client arrives.Explore the Advanced Injury Modification Certification here:APPLIED ANATOMY & BIOMECHANICS CERTIFICATIONIf anatomy has ever felt like something you memorised for an exam and then struggled to actually APPLY when teaching, this one is for you. This is not a traditional “origin, insertion, action” anatomy course. It is about understanding movement. We explore how muscles actually work together, biomechanics, movement patterns, compensations and how anatomy should influence:• Exercise selection• Programming• Cueing• Regressions and progressions• Muscle bias• Movement observation• Client-specific modificationsSo rather than simply knowing the name of a muscle, you begin understanding WHY one client may constantly compensate through their hip flexors, why another person feels an exercise somewhere completely different, or how changing position, load or movement can alter what you are actually training.Explore Applied Anatomy & Biomechanics here:STRENGTH PILATES PRINCIPLES CERTIFICATIONWant to incorporate genuine strength training principles into Pilates rather than simply making an exercise “harder” or chasing the burn? This certification bridges evidence-based strength and conditioning principles with the Pilates environment. We cover areas such as:• Progressive overload• Strength vs muscular endurance vs hypertrophy• Load selection• Repetitions and programming• Tempo and time under tension• Exercise selection• Intensity• Strength progression over time• Tendon and tissue capacity• Programming strength within Mat and Reformer• Building repeatable strength-focused class structures• Applying strength principles to different client populationsThe goal is to help instructors understand the difference between something FEELING hard and actually programming for a meaningful physiological adaptation.Explore Strength Pilates Principles here:COMPREHENSIVE PRE & POSTNATAL PILATES CERTIFICATIONDesigned for instructors who want much more confidence teaching pregnant and postnatal clients without becoming unnecessarily fearful of movement. This is Physiotherapist-led, evidence-based education looking at what actually changes throughout pregnancy and postpartum and how those changes should influence your Pilates teaching.Rather than simply learning a long list of “don’ts”, the focus is understanding WHY a modification may be appropriate and how to continue giving your client a meaningful workout.Topics include pregnancy physiology and biomechanics, abdominal wall changes, pelvic floor considerations, common pregnancy presentations, exercise modification, programming and practical application across Pilates.Explore the Comprehensive Pre & Postnatal Pilates Certification here:SPECIALIST PRENATAL TRIMESTER 3 CERTIFICATIONAlready have general pre/postnatal education but want more specific confidence with clients later in pregnancy? Our Specialist Trimester 3 Certification focuses specifically on the final stage of pregnancy, when the physical and biomechanical changes become much more significant and instructors often feel least confident. We explore:• Third-trimester anatomy and physiology• Changes in centre of gravity and balance• Abdominal wall and pelvic floor changes• Lumbar spine and rib cage adaptations• Pelvic girdle pain• Back pain and sciatica• Exercise and equipment modifications• Reformer-specific considerations• Practical strategies for keeping clients comfortable and moving• Communication and client managementThe goal is to help you confidently modify a normal Mat or Reformer class for a third-trimester client without panicking, completely changing your class or making that client feel like they can’t do anything.Explore the Specialist Prenatal Trimester 3 Certification here:SPINAL ANATOMY & INJURIES CERTIFICATIONIf spinal clients make you nervous, this certification specifically dives deeper into the spine. We explore functional spinal anatomy alongside some of the most common presentations Pilates instructors encounter, including:• Disc bulges/herniations• Sciatica• Scoliosis• Acute and chronic back pain• Common spinal conditions• Movement considerations• Appropriate modifications• Red flags and referral considerationsThe aim is to move away from blanket rules like “never flex someone with a disc bulge” and instead help you understand the presentation, the individual and the reasoning behind your programming decisions.Explore Spinal Anatomy & Injuries here:NOT SURE WHICH ONE TO START WITH?That’s completely fine!Send us a message telling us:• What you’re currently qualified in• How long you’ve been teaching• The area you feel least confident in• What you’d most like to get better atAnd we can point you toward the CPD certification that makes the most sense for where you’re currently at.You can also browse all of our available online CPD certifications here:https://www.bodyform.com.au/globalpilatesteachertraining/ondemandcpdcoursesPlease note: our CPD certifications are continuing education for already-qualified instructors. They are not entry-level Mat or Reformer Teacher Training and do not independently qualify someone to become a Pilates instructor.
Hi! If you’re local to Sydney’s Northern Beaches, we’d LOVE to have you at Body Form Mona Vale 😊Body Form Mona Vale is our Physiotherapy-led Pilates and Strength studio, specialising in small-group Clinical Pilates, strength training, injury rehabilitation and individualised movement. We’re not your typical large-group Pilates studio.Body Form Mona Vale has been recognised as Australian Clinical Pilates Studio of the Year, and our entire model is built around giving you the individual attention of a much smaller clinical environment while still having the energy, community and affordability of group training. Our classes have a MAXIMUM of 6 clients. That means:• You’re actually seen by your instructor• You receive hands-on coaching and real-time corrections• Exercises can be progressed or modified for YOU• You don’t have to keep up with the person beside you• You won’t get lost in a room of 10, 12 or 15+ Reformers• Beginners through to advanced clients can train together while working at completely different levelsWhether you’ve never exercised before, are returning after an injury, feel intimidated by traditional gyms, are pre or postnatal, manage pain or a chronic condition, or simply want intelligent training that actually progresses you, we can meet you where you’re at.OUR SMALL GROUP CLASSESAll of our standard group memberships give you access to BOTH our Equipment-Based Pilates classes AND our Strength classes. You don’t need to choose one or pay for separate memberships. You can use your weekly classes across both styles depending on your goals, schedule and what you enjoy.EQUIPMENT-BASED PILATESThese aren’t just standard Reformer classes. Our Equipment-Based Pilates classes use the wider Pilates Studio Equipment, including:• Reformer• Trapeze Table/Cadillac• Wunda Chair• Spine CorrectorThis allows us to give you significantly more exercise variety and modify movements around different bodies, abilities, injuries and goals.Classes are full-body and functional, with a focus on:• Building strength• Core control• Mobility and flexibility• Balance and stability• Movement quality• Functional movement• Long-term movement resilienceEvery class is layered from beginner through to advanced. That means you do NOT need to already be “good at Pilates” before coming.Your instructor can regress or progress exercises based on your experience and ability, so someone attending their first class and someone who has trained with us for years can be in the same room and both be appropriately challenged.STRENGTH CLASSESOur Strength classes bridge the gap between Pilates and traditional strength training. They’re perfect if you know you need to get stronger but:• Don’t enjoy traditional gyms• Don’t know what to do with weights• Feel intimidated training alone• Have previous injuries you’re conscious of• Want someone watching your technique• Want strength training that is structured and progressive rather than randomThese are NOT generic bootcamp-style workouts. They’re Physiotherapy-informed, technique-focused and coach-led.Depending on the session, you may use:• Free weights• Reformer• Trapeze Table• Functional strength movements• Load-based exercisesWe use genuine strength training principles and structured progression to help you build strength, support bone density, improve physical capacity and reduce injury risk. And because our memberships include BOTH class styles, you can combine Pilates and Strength throughout your week rather than needing a separate Pilates membership and gym membership.WHO COMES TO BODY FORM?Honestly, a huge range of people! We work with:• Complete beginners• People who have never enjoyed exercise before• Experienced Pilates clients• Injury rehabilitation clients• People returning to exercise after surgery• Clients with persistent pain or chronic conditions• Pre and postnatal clients• Women wanting to build strength through different stages of life• Clients wanting to improve bone density• Athletes and runners• People wanting more individual attention than a traditional group class• People who simply want to feel stronger, move better and enjoy exercisingYou do NOT need to be injured to come to Body Form. And equally, you do NOT need to be completely pain-free or perfectly fit before you start. That’s the whole reason our model is designed the way it is.NEED MORE SUPPORT THAN A GROUP CLASS?We also offer Private and Semi-Private Clinical Pilates.PRIVATE SESSIONS 1:1Our Private sessions are completely individualised. They’re particularly useful if you:• Are recovering from an injury or surgery• Have a more complex medical or musculoskeletal history• Want a fully individualised program• Feel nervous starting in a group• Have specific rehabilitation goals• Want more hands-on guidance• Simply prefer to train privatelyWe can build your program completely around your presentation, goals and current capacity.SEMI-PRIVATE SESSIONS 1:3Semi-Private sessions give you individualised programming and significantly more support while keeping the cost lower than ongoing 1:1 sessions. There are a maximum of THREE clients.Rather than everyone completing exactly the same class, you can work through programming specific to you while your instructor supervises, progresses and modifies your exercises. This can be a really good stepping stone between Physiotherapy/private rehabilitation and our regular small-group classes. It’s also a great option for people who simply want more individualisation than a standard class environment.PHYSIOTHERAPYWe are also a Physiotherapy clinic, so if pain or injury is currently stopping you from exercising confidently, you can start with us clinically rather than trying to work everything out yourself. Our Physiotherapy approach combines assessment, diagnosis, hands-on treatment where appropriate and active rehabilitation.Because our Physiotherapists have access to our full Pilates and strength environment, rehabilitation doesn’t have to stop at the treatment bed.We can progressively take you from:Pain/injury → Physiotherapy → individual rehabilitation → Semi-Private Clinical Pilates → small-group Pilates and Strengthdepending on what YOU actually need. You can view our Physiotherapy and health services here:https://www.bodyform.com.au/monavalephysiopilatesstudio/physiotherapymonavaleWE ALSO OFFER EXERCISE Absolutely! Body Form Education works with Pilates studios and instructor teams internationally in a few different ways 🌏Whether you’re looking to upskill your existing instructors, organise private Physiotherapist-led professional development for your team, improve consistency across your studio, or bring Body Form Education Teacher Training to your location, we’d love to hear from you. Here are the main ways we can work together:PRIVATE CPD & TEAM TRAINING FOR YOUR STUDIOWe provide private Continuing Professional Development workshops for Pilates studios and instructor teams. These can be delivered specifically for your team, allowing us to tailor the education around the areas your instructors actually need rather than sending everyone off to complete unrelated training individually. Our studio workshops are Physiotherapist-led and designed to be highly practical. The goal is for your instructors to leave with education they can immediately apply to the clients and classes they’re already teaching.Popular areas include:• Advanced Injury Modification• Strength Training Principles for Pilates• Applied Anatomy & Biomechanics• Comprehensive Pre & Postnatal Pilates• Spinal Anatomy & Injuries• Programming and Sequencing• Cueing and Teaching Methodology• Clinical reasoning and exercise modification• Working with special populationsWe can also combine topics depending on the goals of your team. For example, studios often want a combination of theory and practical education, such as understanding strength principles first and then spending the practical component applying those principles specifically to Reformer programming.Training can be designed around the equipment available in your studio, including Mat, Reformer and Studio Equipment where appropriate.Depending on location and availability, studio training can be delivered face-to-face or remotely via live online education. You can learn more about private Studio Team Training here:UPSKILL YOUR INSTRUCTORS THROUGH OUR ONLINE CPD CERTIFICATIONSIf you don’t need a private workshop but want individual team members to develop further in particular areas, our online CPD certifications can be completed internationally and around their own schedules. Our Physiotherapist-led CPD education includes areas such as:• Advanced Injury Modification• Applied Anatomy & Biomechanics• Strength Pilates Principles• Comprehensive Pre & Postnatal Pilates• Specialist Prenatal Trimester 3• Spinal Anatomy & InjuriesThis can be particularly helpful if you have instructors with different professional development needs rather than wanting your entire team to complete the same training. You can explore our online CPD certifications here:BECOME A BODY FORM EDUCATION HOST LOCATIONBody Form Education delivers Pilates Teacher Training internationally through selected Host Locations. This allows established studios to bring Body Form Education Teacher Training into their local community rather than their instructors and prospective students needing to travel elsewhere to access our education.Depending on the location, this can include Mat and/or Reformer Teacher Training and the opportunity to establish ongoing Body Form Education intakes within your region. Our Teacher Training combines comprehensive online education with practical face-to-face training and covers far more than simply teaching an exercise repertoire.Students work through education including:• Functional anatomy and biomechanics• Complete Pilates repertoire• Programming and sequencing• Cueing• Injuries and exercise modification• Pre and postnatal considerations• Special populations• Strength principles• Client management• Clinical reasoning• Practical teaching development• Apprentice hours• Assessments and certification requirementsHost Location partnerships are designed for established studios that genuinely want to build Body Form Education within their local Pilates community. There are specific requirements around studio capacity, equipment, local marketing, student experience and ongoing delivery, so Host Location applications are reviewed individually rather than automatically approved.NEED SOMETHING SPECIFIC FOR YOUR TEAM?That’s absolutely fine too.If you have a particular problem within your studio, tell us!For example:“Our instructors aren't confident modifying for injuries.”“We want our Reformer classes to incorporate more genuine strength principles.”“Our instructors have very different education backgrounds and we want more consistency.”“We need better pre/postnatal education across the team.”“We want help with programming and class progression.”“We have Physiotherapists and Pilates instructors on the same team and want education relevant to both.”“We want to bring comprehensive Teacher Training to our city.”The more we know about your studio, the easier it is for us to recommend the right option.WANT TO CHAT ABOUT YOUR STUDIO?Send us:• Your studio name• City + country• Approximate number of instructors• Equipment available in your studio• What your team is currently qualified in• What you’d most like support or further education with• Whether you’re interested in a private workshop, online CPD, Teacher Training/Host Location partnership, or you’re simply not sure yetAnd our team can point you toward the most appropriate option.Body Form Education works with instructors and studios internationally, so please still reach out even if you’re outside Australia 🌏We’d love to learn a little more about your studio and what you’re hoping to achieve.
